Mr Jones and Miss Bain have set themselves a huge challenge this year, to run the London Marathon in April.
Mr Jones is running for NSPCC
“Eight years ago I made a promise that I would one day run the London Marathon. Well, the time has come and 22 April 2018 will be the day.
I am running for the NSPCC which is a charity close to my heart having worked in schools for over 10 years now.
This is not going to be easy but I am determined to succeed so that should help at least!”
Miss Bain is running for Sports Aid
“This is something I’ve always wanted to do and is a real personal challenge for me. I am an absolute opportunist so I’m giving this everything I have.
Sports Aid helped me a lot as a youngster with my passion for playing basketball and I want to give something back.
I received grants from Sports Aid to help with the travelling to training in different cities and tournaments too, as well as fresh pairs of basketball boots!”
