As part of their coursework, a group of Sixth Formers organised and promoted a bake sale and a cookie sale. The two combined events raised a grand total of £131.57, which will go to the NSPCC, Mr Jones's chosen charity for whom he is running the London Marathon in April.
The team also organised a raffle, with a selection of Easter eggs up for grabs for the lucky winners! Proceeds from the raffle are still to be confirmed and will be added to the overall total.
The cakes were donated by members of staff who got quite competitive and went to great lengths to create the winning cake in a 'Bake Off' judged by Mr Parnell.
Miss Davies pipped Mr Haig's butterscotch cream cake to the post with her amazing caramel drip cake with home-made chocolate fudge. Close behind them was Mrs Swallow's delicious coconut and raspberry muffins.
The Sixth Form team would like to thank all the staff who gave their time to create so many wonderful cakes, thank you also to the students who supported this event by purchasing the cakes, cookies and raffle tickets.
