On Star Wars Day, the force was certainly with the Northampton Academy Year 9 &10 rounders team as they brushed aside the opposition to win their Level 2 School Games Rounders Tournament.
The tournament consisted of the team’s first competitive fixtures this year, but they certainly didn’t show it! Every player put in a fantastic shift to overcome Malcolm Arnold, Thomas Beckett and NSG, finishing the competition with an impressive 100% winning record.
The squad will now compete in the Level 3 School Games in the summer, representing Northampton. Entering the county-wide championship after running riot on home soil will no doubt put them in great stead to possibly bring home the big prize.
