Summary of Topic:
1250-1500 Medicine in Medieval England

Summary of topic (no more than 100 words):
Medieval England was not an easy place to this live in. Hard work and poor living conditions meant that sickness and disease was not that far away. In this topic, we will study how scientific knowledge was lacking and how this impacted upon the way people were treated for their illnesses. We will learnt about Hippocrates and Galen and how the church was a block to medical progress. This will involve analysing medieval society and doing a case study on the Black Death of 1348.
