Philip Doddridge (1702 - 1751) By the age of 16 years Doddridge had decided that he would dedicate his life to God. In 1730 he set up an Academy in Marefair, Northampton and provided a religious education for it's pupils. Doddridge's doctrine was non-conformist, but maintains world-wide inter-church appeal.
