Cynthia Spencer (1892 - 1972) Cynthia was the wife of the Seventh Earl of Althorp and showed enormous compassion and affection to the people of Northamptonshire. Cynthia Spencer Hospice was set up in 1972 and is a hospital dedicated to the care of cancer patients.
