All year 9 BTEC Music Technology students were set an assignment which involved composing a radio jingle to promote the drama department’s summer show…Slam!

Each student was required to work to a brief to compose a 1 minute jingle as part of their music coursework. The students were given an opportunity to experience working as a professional composer by submitting a piece of music that would be used for Slam’s advertising campaign.

Although every student’s work would be assessed and graded, only one jingle could be selected for the website, giving them a real life scenario of the highly competitive music industry.
