Well Done to our Youth Ambition Awards Finalist

Categories: Latest Academy News, Featured

We are very proud of Year 10 student Emily Shellard who was nominated and shortlisted for the finals of year’s NCC Youth Ambition Awards in association with Northants Newspapers. This year the awards featured eight categories to celebrate the amazing young people in Northamptonshire.

Modest Emily was shortlisted for the category of Young Role Model of the Year for the work she does as a young leader at her local youth club. Standing up for her neighbourhood she gets involved in organising many fundraising activities, deals with the many challenges involved and helps to give young people a voice in her local community. She is very focused on giving herself and other young people a positive future.

In addition to her work with the youth club, Emily is heavily involved with her local ‘In Bloom’ project to improve her local area.  She helps to organise groups of young people to plant flowers at her local community centre and car park area.
