Nucleus STEM Lectures

Categories: Latest Academy News, Nucleus, Featured

We were delighted to welcome John Sinclair; Dean of Arts, Science and Technology from the University of Northampton, to deliver our second Nucleus STEM lecture to students.  John spoke about the Ice Age and how the landscape of Northamptonshire has changed during glacial and interglacial periods.

John also brought with him some amazing fossils of mammoth teeth, a mammoth thigh bone and an incredibly woolly rhino skull.  Our students asked some brilliant, thought-provoking questions of John, who provided them with answers that continued to peek their curiosity about this fascinating time in the history of our local area.

Our next Nucleus STEM lecture, which is open to all of our students, will be on November 29th. We look forward to welcoming Professor Jeremy Levesley from the University of Leicester looking at Artificial Intelligence.
