The newly appointed Mayor of Northampton Mr Tony Ansell visited Northampton Academy to present certificates to a group of Year 10 students. The group have been working as part of a Schools Engagement Programme with representatives from the Department of Work and Pensions.
As part of our 'Education with Character' initiative, working alongside business and educational mentors, students took part in workshops and heard inspirational talks held by visitors including WW2 veteran George Pritchard, Northampton Saints player Jordan Letts, Charlotte Green Life Coach and drummer Kieran Leigh.
Students enjoyed the experience and were very keen to be photographed with our visitors!
