Year 7 Careers Event ‘Guess Who?’– Wednesday 8th January
We introduced our youngest students to Northampton Academy’s Careers Programme by way of an event entitled, ‘Guess Who?’
Students aimed to guess the job & apprenticeship titles, as well as the university degree subjects of a number of industry and educational supporters. Students asked questions such as ‘What are some of the everyday challenges you face?’ and ‘Can you list the skills needed for your job?’ in order to find out more about a wide range of careers and industries.
The job market is changing and it is important that students are aware of the new roles available in the workplace, and how to prepare for them. Students who receive regular encounters with employees, employers and educational experts will be more likely to have a clear idea about their options and how to plan towards them. We would like to thank all our volunteers for giving their time to this event and the support of our young people.
