This week we are promoting National Careers Week in school.
Careers Manager Ms Coles presented an assembly to all year groups last week, detailing how National Careers Week builds on our work to promote the importance of good careers education in schools.
Students from all year groups were asked to think about the importance of developing transferable skills necessary for higher education and the workplace, with a focus on the importance of the changing labour market due to the advancements in technology.
We look forward to welcoming representatives of Further and Higher Education providers to the Academy alongside Apprenticeship providers. They will be available to all students in the canteen area every lunchtime throughout the week, offering up to date advice and guidance on the range of opportunities available to them.

In addition to this, Year 10 Business students will receive a visit from Robert Edwards, Talent Pipeline Development Manager of Keuhne Nagal on Tuesday. Robert will provide insights into the work of global logistics and a workshop on the importance of making that first positive impression at an interview. We thank Robert and all the other providers for generously giving their time and knowledge and taking part in our celebration of National Careers Week.
