During the Easter holidays, Miss Grimes was fortunate enough to experience a trip to Zanzibar to teach English in a little village called Jambiani. After sharing her experience with Year 10 students, a number of them were so touched by what they saw and heard, they wanted to do some fundraising to further help the school.
During the last week of term, they organised a cake sale, a music and dance performance, a sweet jar challenge and a sponsored walk around Pitsford Reservoir.
They managed to raise a total £269.53 for all their efforts.
Miss Grimes would like to say a massive well done and thank you to all the students involved.
