This Pride Month, our library is once again putting together a display of popular LGBTQIA+ fiction. This time, we're also adding limited-edition Pride-themed bookmarks designed by students from the Diversity Club. The librarians selected 32 designs that were printed, and students can obtain them for free from our Pride display. The librarians' favourite was a bookmark featuring the words: "Read books today and learn something new, discover people, yourself and others," as it represents what reading is all about during Pride Month and throughout the year.

In May, a group of lucky Northampton Academy students embarked on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Kenya, fully funded by the UK government's Turing Scheme—a programme that supports international education and training opportunities for young people.

On Wednesday, 14th May, we took a squad of athletes from years 8-10 over to Corby Athletics Stadium to represent Northampton Academy at the 'Northampton Town Athletics Championships'.

Huge shoutout to our 32 students who planted trees with us.

Nine of our students from years 7 and 8 have been working extremely hard with Silhouette Youth Theatre to produce a comedy production based on Shakespeare’s plays.
