The evening began with both teams, the Northampton Academy and NSG, practicing skills and warming up for the game.

There was a bitter breeze in the atmosphere, yet both schools put that aside and began the game, determined to win. The first quarter proved to be more successful for NSG, as they scored 10 and the Northampton Academy scored none. As the teams took a break to speak about tactics, the Academy soon approached the conclusion that they should defend more effectively, as that would reduce the number of goals that the opposition could score.

The second quarter began and the Northampton Academy were incredibly determined for a goal. As soon as the quarter commenced, the ball landed into the hands of a Northampton Academy player and it was passed from one side of the court to another through neat teamwork. Without hesitation they threw the ball into the hoop and scored a goal for themselves. As the quarter went on, the Northampton Academy were unable to score any more points, however their defending skills improved and the opposition team only managed 5 this time around.

The Northampton Academy discussed how they could improve further, aiming to score more goals and defend their own goal more efficiently. In the third quarter, NSG only scored 2 and Northampton Academy bagged 1. Their tactics seemed to have worked and they were improving their communication on the court.

Finally, the last quarter approached and the Northampton Academy decided to give it all they had. In the early stages, they were able to score 1 point successfully, however, did not manage to score any more points afterwards. The Northampton Academy seemed to be eager to defend their goal and they did so, although NSG did score 4 points.

This left them with a total of 22 and the Northampton Academy with a total of 3. But the Academy should definitely be proud of their improvement during the game.
