Local Historian Visits Year 10

On Friday, 30th June, the History Department welcomed local historian Terry Whenham to talk to Year 10 History students. Terry grew up in the local area and has conducted extensive research on the men from Northampton in the First World War. The students were fortunate to receive a fully interactive talk from Terry on Medicine in the First World War. Terry brought various artefacts and uniforms to show weapons and developments' impact on medicine in the War. Year 10 students found the talk enjoyable and informative. All came away with the knowledge that will benefit them in their History GCSE exam next year.
