Dear Parents and Carers,
We are delighted that your child has been offered a place at Northampton Academy and look forward to welcoming you in September. You should have received your welcome pack and data collection forms, which are are now overdue.
Over the coming months we will begin our liaison with your child and their primary school to ensure every aspect of transition is supported. A member of our Senior Leadership Team will be visiting the children in their primary schools prior to the two transition days which take place on Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th of July 2019.
On the evening of Tuesday 9th July we are holding a Parents/Carers Information Session. There will be a presentation, uniform ordering information and sample blazers available to try on for size. You will also have the opportunity to meet your child's Year 7 Form Tutor. Further information and timings will be sent out to you.
We are very excited to be offering a residential experience for our new intake in September (more details to follow).
Please take time to look at our Transition Activities page containing work and activities for child to enjoy during the holidays.
If you would like to discuss any aspect of your child's transition, please contact us on 01604 210017 or alternatively you can email me direct at email@example.com.

Year 7 Play Area
Year 7 have their own dedicated play area which is out of bounds to older students. Complete with picnic benches, ball play zone, table tennis and football tables, this area has proved extremely popular with our current Year 7 students.
Enrichment at Northampton Academy
Enrichment is a very important part of the Northampton Academy experience, ensuring students have the opportunity to develop new skills, talents and character outside their formal learning environment. We offer a wealth of clubs including music, drama, sports, gaming and reading.
At Northampton Academy we promise leadership opportunities for every student, many of which come from the wide range clubs on offer. Further information and our latest enrichment timetable can be found here >>>
This year’s 2-day Summer School will take place on Thursday 25th and Friday 26th July. The summer school is open to any Year 6 student who is due to start Year 7 with us in September.
During the Summer School students will be given the opportunity to experience the school environment, meet some of their new teachers for September and take part in educational but fun activities. They will be given the chance to build on their literacy and numeracy skills, as well as engaging activities which develop student's confidence, self-esteem and leadership , through our core values of Respect, Determination and Ambition.
The Summer School is free of charge, however we ask that you provide a suitable packed lunch and plenty of drinks for each day. Students are encouraged to attend in their own clothes, however they need to be suitably dressed for physical activity.
