Students Enjoy a Trip to the Palace Theatre in London

Categories: Latest Academy News, Featured

On Friday, 15th December 2023, students from all year groups visited London to watch 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child' at the Palace Theatre.

From their seats on the balcony, the students were in awe of the theatre and how high up they were! During the first show, the students were impressed by how some of the spells were created using special effects, which brought the magic to life. When the first show concluded, they were buzzing with excitement about what would happen next.

After a break for some food, the students were excited to watch the second part and were keen to return to the Palace Theatre for the show's conclusion. They were all able to appreciate and learn from the acting, costume, lighting, production values and transitions, and it certainly ignited a passion in our students to want to watch more theatre and be a part of it. For many, this was a unique opportunity and their first theatre visit.

Miss Osborne said, " Our students couldn't have been better behaved, polite, and, above all, extremely passionate about the theatre they had witnessed."
