Year 6 Open Evenings

Wednesday 24th September, 5.30 pm - 8.00 pm

Principal's Presentations at 5.30 pm and 6.30 pm • Tours from 6.00 pm

We are delighted to invite Year 6 children and their families to experience Northampton Academy's Year 6 Open Evening. We look forward to showcasing our outstanding school, including our unique programmes, Nucleus STEM Stream, Elite Sports, Spotlight Performing Arts Academy and new for September 2026, our Creative Arts Stream.

Our character-enriched curriculum is designed to help all students achieve the best academic qualifications and emerge as confident, well-rounded young people.

During the evening, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the Northampton Academy experience. You can tour the school at your own pace, visit subject areas, participate in classroom activities, and chat with our staff and students.

Our Principal, Mr Owen Jones, will be giving presentations at 5.30 pm and 6.30 pm in the Assembly Hall to provide you with a deeper insight into our school. A recording of the Principal's Presentation will also be available on our website from Monday 29th September, for those who would prefer to spend the time in the classrooms.

To help us give you the best experience, Year 6 Open Evening is a ticketed event. We are allocating a maximum of four tickets per family. If you have any problems booking tickets, have specific access requirements, or require extra tickets (subject to availability), please get in touch with the school using our main email address enquiries@northampton-academy.org, and we can assist you.

Due to the high volume of people expected to attend, we have staggered the start times.

Additional Important Information

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you for booking your place on our Year 6 Open Evening. We look forward to welcoming you and showing you what our school offers your child.

We expect a very high number of visitors, so for everyone’s comfort and safety, we ask you to read the following information before the event.

Parking

Due to limited parking and to avoid parking problems on the day, we would ask visitors to consider alternatives to using our car park. We encourage you to park and walk, use public transport (buses stop at nearby Weston Favell Centre), or car share where possible. We have a small car park behind the school at the end of Birds Hill Walk, and our site team will direct cars there when our main car park is full.

Arrival Time

To minimise queueing, we ask you to have your tickets ready to be scanned. Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before your booked time slot.

If you have booked to attend the Principal’s presentation at 5.30 pm or 6.30 pm you will be directed to the assembly hall, and your tour will commence afterwards.

If you have booked the 6.00 pm self-guided tour, you will be directed to your start point, from there you can wander at your leisure, you will be given a map to guide you.

We look forward to welcoming you.
