Northampton Academy Sixth Form
We are very proud of our flourishing Sixth Form which year-on-year, has seen excellent results and students moving on to top universities or highly skilled apprenticeships.
Northampton Academy offers over 25 courses with strong provision and results in STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths). Students have access to our new state-of-the-art study centre exclusively for Sixth Form.
We expect students to progress from advanced study to university and we provide a tailored programme of support to help them. They also have access to a first-class enrichment and careers programme along with the opportunity to work with employers and also mentor younger students. Year 12 students complete work experience, further enhancing their skills and experience for higher education or the workplace. The full range of options is explored to focus on the best interest of the individual student, including apprenticeships, vocational courses, employment with training and A Levels.
The Motto of the Academy is ‘The Best in Everyone’, and we work hard with all of our students to enable them to achieve their full potential in accordance with the Academy values of Respect, Determination and Ambition. In return, we expect hard work and commitment from our students throughout their time in the Sixth Form.
