On Monday, we welcomed Dr Holly Lomas to deliver a lecture to our Nucleus VI Medicine students, as well as students from Years 10, 11 and 12 with an interest in Medicine. Dr Lomas discussed the entire career pathway to becoming a Doctor, beyond the Medical degree. Dr Lomas shared her very personal journey into the profession, including insights into the Graduate Entry route to studying medicine. It was inspiring to hear the honest lived experience, the highlights of the career, as well as the struggles. Our students left the session with no illusions about the dedication and work required to pursue a career in Medicine, as well as the qualities and skills needed to be successful.
