On Monday, we welcomed Dr Holly Lomas to deliver a lecture to our Nucleus VI Medicine students as well as others in years 10, 11 and 12 who are interested in Medicine. Dr Lomas talked about the whole career pathway to becoming a Doctor, beyond just the Medical degree. Dr Lomas shared her very personal journey into the profession, including insight into the Graduate Entry route to study Medicine. It was inspiring to hear the honest lived experience, the highlights of the career, as well as the struggles. Our students left the session with no illusions about the dedication and work required to pursue a career in Medicine, as well as the qualities and skills needed to be successful.
