Two of our sixth form students, Chau T. and Tiffany M., recently visited Cambridge for an information day. They captured some great photos, and Chau kindly shared a short write‑up reflecting on their experience.
“At the start of the experience, they taught us more about the university life at Oxbridge (Cambridge/ Oxford), especially about the accommodation and the colleges that you can join. It was a really quick introduction to start the day, then we were moved over to the Cavendish Laboratory. It was renovated pretty recently, and it included old pieces of history that were created by physicists who attended the University of Cambridge. In the lab, we were able to do practicals and have a go at some hands-on tests.
We were also introduced to Isaac Science, where we got to test what we learnt through written questions. It was a really fun experience, and I definitely think it is a great opportunity to meet new people and discuss the topic we learnt together. Although it was hard to understand all the new concepts so quickly, I found it exciting to try out new things, and I really recommend exploring different opportunities outside of school.”
