On Thursday 4th June, future-focused Elite Sport Programme students visited the University of Bedfordshire to discover new opportunities, explore career options, and gain inspiration for the next stage of their journey.
Initially, the students were able to tour the campus and get a feel for a day in the life of a University student.
The students then moved on to conduct Sports Science fitness testing in the laboratory. Working in small groups, VO2 max testing was followed by an opportunity to use timing gates in the Sports Hall for speed and agility testing.
Before departing, lecturers provided insight into the courses available and how the status of this University can enhance career opportunities, using examples from high-level alumni.
