Congratulations to Cameron W (10S), who represented Northampton Academy in the Develop Articulation Public Speaking Competition, a national event run by The National Gallery and Leeds University.
The competition challenges KS4 students to deliver a 3–5-minute presentation on a work of art, developing their knowledge, confidence and public speaking skills. Cameron impressed the judges with an engaging presentation comparing the contrasting styles of Piet Mondrian and Banksy.
After progressing through the school's internal heat, Cameron's presentation was submitted to judges at Leeds University. With over 1,000 schools taking part nationwide, Cameron achieved a fantastic Highly Commended award from the adjudicators.
