Local Reverend Delivers Assemblies to Students

Categories: Latest Academy News, Featured

Northampton Academy was pleased to welcome Reverend Haydon Spenceley, Team Rector for the Emmanuel Group of Churches in Northampton.

Rev. Spenceley came to school as part of our character programme to deliver assemblies to Years 7-11 across the week, focusing on our core values of determination and ambition.

He spoke about the importance of being part of a school community, and working together to achieve our goals and ambitions. He advised students to reach for the stars and aim high, explaining how his faith helped him to achieve his own ambitions and dreams despite facing difficulties and challenges.

After the Year 10 assembly Rev. Spenceley tweeted: "Thanks for listening so well. It’s a privilege to spend time with you. Good to meet senior school staff and have them make time to listen, too. Thank you."
