NADT Win the UDO Dance Competition

Northampton Academy Street Dance Team (NADT) won their qualifying category in the regional UDO Dance Championships in Peterborough on Sunday.

On winning this competition, the team will now to go Blackpool in August for the World Street Dance Championships 2020.

Thousands of dancers from across the globe come together to compete for World Champion titles in front of the world's best Street Dance and Hip Hop dance celebrity judges. The UDO World Street Dance Championships is the height of the annual Street Dance and Hip Hop dance competition calendar.

This will be their chance to showcase their amazing skills and could ultimately be crowned a World Champions. Worlds 2020 will be held at the amazing Winter Gardens in Blackpool for the second year running.

Miss Barry said, "The students have worked really hard choreographing and perfecting their routine for this competition, showing are Academy values of determination and ambition to achieve their goal, especially as they were up against specialist dance schools. I am very proud of them for all their hard work and look forward to competing against the best in the country in Blackpool." 

Watch this space for their winning dance, which will be published following the schools' competition hosted at Northampton Academy this Thursday.
