Advice and Guidance – Coronavirus - COVID-19 - NHS England

We are following the advice of Public Health England (PHE):

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/guidance-to-educational-settings-about-covid-19/guidance-to-educational-settings-about-covid-19

The current recommendation is for schools to remain closed for a period of time to the majority of children.

Our priority is to ensure that pupils’ learning is disrupted as little as possible. We have therefore made arrangements for pupils to receive work to do at home and have support to enable them to continue their education while school is closed. Please see the Important Notices and Information section below, which contains guidance downloads for students and information for parents and carers.

The Department for Education has launched a new helpline to answer questions about COVID-19 related to education. Staff, parents and young people can contact the helpline as follows:

Phone: 0800 046 8687 (Opening hours: 8am to 6pm- Monday to Friday)
Email: DfE.coronavirushelpline@education.gov.uk
