Our year 7's enjoyed a fascinating guided tour of Bletchley Park, discovering the rich history behind Britain’s codebreaking headquarters. From exploring the historic Mansion and the famous Huts to seeing the Bombe machine up close, they were absolutely captivated.

Our library has been working on raising the profile of taught research skills in our school. Research skills include the ability to find suitable sources and use them in academic work. These skills are crucial for academic success and transferable to many other areas of life, including citizenship, the workplace and health literacy. Supporting these skills in our young people means that they will be better equipped for independent living, study and work after secondary education.

A massive congratulations to our amazing students who took part in the Intermediate Maths Challenge! This 60‑minute, 25‑question multiple‑choice challenge encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought and fluency—really pushing students to think deeply.

On Thursday 13th November, Northampton Academy hosted a Multi-sport Festival for our community primary schools. The entire event was planned, organised, and led by our fantastic team of Sports Leaders.
More than 140 STEM and non-STEM students attended our STEM Lecture last week to hear from Simon Read, creator of Retro Bowl—a game that grew from 699 downloads on day one to reaching #1 on the US App Store, eventually leading to partnerships with the NFL and Apple Arcade.
