This term, students from Year 7 and Year 10 took part in our exciting Carnegie Medal Shadowing programme.

The Carnegie Medal is one of the UK's most prestigious children's book awards, celebrating outstanding writing for young people. As part of the shadowing scheme, our students read a selection of the shortlisted titles and met each Wednesday during DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) time to discuss their thoughts and share their opinions.

After being crowned the East Midlands regional champions, our U13 NFL Flag Football team represented our region at the GB National Championships in Manchester on Wednesday, 17th June.

Our Year 8 Library Leader, Rozaan took part in an amazing opportunity for the Young Writers to review one of the 10 proof copies of Dead Straight Line, the latest Young Adult novel from author Malcolm Duffy, published by Zephyr Books at Bloomsbury.

On Thursday 4th June, future-focused Elite Sport Programme students visited the University of Bedfordshire to discover new opportunities, explore career options, and gain inspiration for the next stage of their journey.

Year 7 students recently took part in an engaging library lesson designed to support their book choices for DEAR Time (Drop Everything And Read). The activity encouraged students to discover different genres and explore the wide range of books available in the library.
