E-Safety Evening – Wednesday 2nd May 2018 from 7:00pm – 8:00pm
At Northampton Academy, we are preparing your child to be ready to take an active role in the world when they leave school. It is almost impossible to function in the modern world without making use of the huge range of interactions offered by connection to the internet.
It is important that students are prepared to deal with issues that may arise in their digital lives.
Students are taught to work safely on the internet in computer science classes and are made aware of a range of issues, including the dangers of allowing access to personal information. Children spend far more time using their devices to communicate outside of school hours than they do in school, so this is an area where your input is vital.
As parents, you have a difficult job keeping up with your children with the fast-changing technology available to them, let alone knowing the dangers they face - but there is help at hand. We would like to invite you to our E- Safety evening on Wednesday 2nd May 2018 from 7:00pm – 8.00pm.
This session is designed to provide you with information and practical advice. Please note this session is designed for parents, not students.
Please reserve your place using the online booking system by visiting:
http://northamptonacademy.parentseveningsystem.co.uk. You can also log in via our website under the parents’ section.
We hope you are able to take advantage of this opportunity as we believe it is important for parents to have a good understanding of some of the issues that students face on the internet.
