On Tuesday, 25th of January, a team of Sports Leaders headed over to Benham Sports Arena to lead and officiate in the Northampton Town Primary Kurling Tournament.
Year 7 student Zak enjoyed meeting up with Oscar, a university Games Design student who has just completed his degree at the University of Northampton.
This week, the Northampton Academy Year 7 Elite Football Squad were elated to win their County Cup semi-final against Northampton School for Boys.
National Apprenticeship Week commenced with a presentation by Briggs & Forrester team members.
Business Language Champions invited Year 9 students to participate in a workshop to challenge their French-speaking skills.

Former student Chantelle Cameron, a professional world champion boxer in two weight classes visited Northampton Academy to speak to a cohort of Year 8 students regarding the importance of hard work, determination and ambition.

Congratulations to Pelè on winning the Junior Golf Tournament at Delapre Golf Club.
A Huge congratulations to George in Year 13 who represented Northampton Academy at the County Cross Championships on Saturday 22nd January.
This year the Academy marked Holocaust Memorial Day with a Gallery Walk and Memorial Flames Campaign.

Rachel Adams, a solicitor and partner of DFA Law firm, visited Northampton Academy as our latest 'Breakfast With A Professional' guest. Year 11, 12 and 13 students attended to hear how Rachel attained her current position.

Our Year 10 Elite Netball squad played against Abbeyfield School this week and secured a convincing win of 33 goals to nil.
Northampton Academy Careers Department was delighted to hand over a cheque for £86.00 to Cynthia Spencer Hospice, raised during the Winter Fair.
On Friday 14th January, 30 female students attended a virtual event hosted by Bletchley Park. The afternoon began with a virtual tour of the grounds where Mavis Batey and her colleagues worked on breaking the German’s code during World War II. The students were fascinated at the prospect of such a significant event in British history taking place so close to their homes.

We held our annual Winter Fair on the last day of term as part of our continued commitment to social action. We also wanted to celebrate and reward our students for showing our values in abundance by being so determined, respectful, tolerant, and ambitious this year.

Students and staff at Northampton Academy are very pleased to have been awarded the ‘Character Education Kitemark Plus’, building on their first Kitemark in 2018.
