Students and staff are celebrating after winning four awards at the Northamptonshire Education Awards 2021, including Secondary School of the Year

This Christmas we are celebrating those who mean a lot to us. This could be a family member, a friend, a teacher or someone in your community.

Congratulations to the Year 7 Elite Netball Squad on their victory this week in their first competitive game.

A group of teachers at Northampton Academy, including principal, Mr Cyne have ditched their razors to get hairy this month in support of men's charity 'Movember'. So far they have raised over £1100 to make a difference in mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

As part of our Community Matters programme, Northampton Academy staff, students and families supported Cynthia Spencer Hospice this Christmas by donating toys, games and books.

This year in the Academy, we took our first step in striving toward a more eloquent, inclusive, and open national narrative, starting with Black History Month. 
 

Students at the academy commemorate Call to Earth Day by working together to plant seven trees across the school’s grounds.

On Thursday 11^th November we welcomed Jessica Gagen to the Academy who delivered the latest in our Nucleus STEM Lecture programme, and the first Engineering specific lecture.

Northampton Academy was delighted to host a virtual talk from Alumni, Tremaine Richard-Noel as part of our Black History Month celebration programme.

The Careers Department was delighted to welcome back former pupil, Delia to talk to Year 12.

Thank you to all those who attended this year's Sixth Form Open Evening, it was a successful evening and we were pleased to welcome a record number of Year 11 students and their families, both from Northampton Academy and other schools in the area.

School catering team win national LACA award in recognition of their excellence in food provision

Students at Northampton Academy completed their FPQ students (Foundation Project Qualification) presentations this week.

After achieving a runners-up place in the summer NHS 'You Name It! Art Competition', Gracie H was awarded the prize of meeting Clinical Radiographer, Ben Elstob. Gracie's ambition is to be a Radiographer, and meeting Ben provided a great opportunity to find out more about his role.

We recently held our annual 'Best in Everyone' Awards Celebration evening at Northampton Academy.

We are delighted with our new PE curriculum at Northampton Academy this academic year.

On Monday 27th September our Year 7 Elite Footballers started their County Cup campaign with a resounding victory against Moulton School, in the first round.
