Today, Sixth Formers at Northampton Academy are celebrating after securing places at top universities, including the University of Oxford, off the back of an excellent set of A Level results.

Students and staff celebrated the end of another busy and successful academic year at our annual Charity Summer Fair.

On Thursday, July 18th, we welcomed families to our annual ‘Best In Everyone’ Awards Celebration afternoon at Northampton Academy. This annual celebration marks a point in the academic year when we come together to recognise and celebrate the work of many students across the Northampton Academy community.

Our students have just returned from their trip to Zanzibar. During their stay, they fully immersed themselves in the local culture and the study of conservation.

In the past three months, seven students from Northampton Academy have collaborated with Silhouette Youth Theatre and two other Northampton schools. The combined cast of 21 students performed the opening scenes from Hamlet at The Swan Theatre in Stratford-Upon-Avon as part of the RSC’s Playmaking Festival.

I cannot believe it is July already and that this is my second to last letter of the year! Many wonderful things are going on at Northampton Academy right now and here are just a few: 

Year 13 students recently attended their Prom, held at the Northampton Hilton Hotel, to celebrate the end of their time at Northampton Academy.

On Tuesday, Northampton Academy's students from Years 9 & 10 were invited to the University of Bedford.

We wish all students the very best for their future plans, and we look forward to seeing them again on their Exam Results days and welcoming some of our Year 11 students back to our academic Sixth Form.

Northampton Academy is celebrating two students, Ashiki Nandi and Thomas Bursnoll and staff member Cathy Green, after they each took home a top prize at United Learning’s national Best in Everyone Awards. The winners were honoured at a magnificent black-tie gala held at the Cutlers’ Hall in Sheffield on Friday, 21st June.         

Students welcome ‘Running Out of Time’ relay to school as they stop on route from Scotland to London.

It has been an excellent first week back to school following the May half term, and I am delighted to share some highlights and achievements from our school community. 

To celebrate the final week of our current Sixth Form student leadership team, we held a celebratory brunch.

The previous two weeks have been exceptional at Northampton Academy. Lots of fantastic work has been completed in and out of the classroom. This is shown every Friday on our Proud Table. Please do encourage your child to come along to the proud table. If they show eight pieces of work, they will go into the draw to win an iPad. 

Volunteers from the Guide Dog Association visited Sixth Form students at Northampton Academy as part of a wellbeing and stress relief initiative.

Nucleus VI Engineering students visited the Silverstone Museum to learn about engineering and F1 motor racing.
